Sunset Parkway Retaining Wall Pre-Construction Sunset Parkway Retaining Wall After Completion
Retaining Wall Replacement: Simmons Lane and Sunset Parkway (Project # 14-007)
This project consists of both partial and complete demolition of a total of two existing wooden retaining walls on Simmons Lane and Sunset Parkway.
Simmons Lane: Fronting 1186 and 1182 Simmons Lane.
Sunset Parkway: West side of roadway, north of San Jose Middle School.
This project includes traffic control, water pollution control, minor earthwork, temporary and permanent sediment and erosion control measures, minor drainage improvements and final site stabilization. This project will also replace retaining walls that require extensive repairs, and will result in cost savings from reduced maintenance.
Construction on the Simmons Lane project began on February 12, 2018, and lasted approximately two weeks. Construction on the Sunset Parkway Retaining Wall is scheduled for June 2018.
