Costco Fuel Facility 

Description

Costco Wholesale has proposed to add a gas station adjacent to the existing Costco Wholesale store, located in the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. The project includes the construction of an approximately 10,000 square-foot canopy that will cover 14 fuel dispensers that accommodate 28 fueling positions. Additional improvements include three 40,000-gallon gasoline underground storage tanks (UST), one 1,500-gallon additive UST, a controller enclosure, vapor processor unit, and associated site improvements. The gas station will occupy an approximately 1-acre portion of the site. The improvements would eliminate 129 on-site parking spaces within the Costco lease area. Concurrently, the City Engineering Division is proposing a separate Capital Improvement Program project for street improvements to reconfigure Rowland Blvd, which would result in 196 parking stalls located within the Rowland Blvd right-of-way on the east side of the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center. With the proposed Rowland Blvd improvements, the total number of parking spaces within and adjacent to Vintage Oaks would increase by 67 spaces.

Location

The proposed gas station would be located at the south end of the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center, located at 300 Vintage Way, west of the existing Costco store.
