Welcome to the City’s Housing Element Update Home Page. The Housing Element is a part of the General Plan for the City that assesses housing needs in the City and lays out policies for addressing those needs. The City is currently engaged in the process of updating this important document.
We encourage all citizens of Novato to learn about and become engaged in the discussions about housing in our City. It is an important opportunity to join with fellow citizens in influencing the future of your City. We hope you will find these pages useful in gaining a better understanding of the City's housing needs, the process to update the Housing Element and ways to engage in the discussions regarding housing policies for Novato.
