The Novato Arts Center at Hamilton Field provides a campus setting for artists who work in a variety of media, from oils and watercolor to ceramics and metal. To catch a glimpse of the over 60 artists at work in the three buildings, stop by the second weekend in October for Open Studios. Visitors have the opportunity to watch artists at work, ask questions, and purchase handmade art by local artists. The gallery and retail store are run by the Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, a nonprofit Bay Area arts organization. In fulfillment of their mission to provide community access to art, the Museum Gallery is free to the public.
