City of Novato's Parks and Facilities Directory

Whether you are a first time visitor or a regular guest, we hope that you enjoy the many parks and facilities that the City of Novato's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has to offer. From Pioneer Park picnic tables and Bay Trail walkways to bocce ball courts and soccer fields, we have a wide variety of parks and facilities that are available for you to enjoy. 

Parks & Facilities Reservations:

  • Please visit the Parks & Facilities Reservations page to learn more about the many parks and facilities that are available to rent. This includes parks/picnic areas, indoor facilities, and athletic facilities.

Parks & Facilities Related Concerns:

  • The City of Novato Public Works Department maintains parks and facilities. Submit an online service request to report parks or median issues, potholes, traffic signal problems, graffiti and other non-emergency repair needs. 
  • Emergencies and safety related concerns should be directed to the Novato Police Department. If you see something, say something. For emergencies, please dial 9-1-1. For 24/7 Non-Emergency Dispatch please call 415-897-4361. Thank you for keeping our parks safe for all! 

The Hamilton Community Gymnasium serves both Hamilton school’s needs, as well as the City’s and community’s recreation needs.  The facility was built and paid for by both the City of Novato and the Novato Unified School District. Both agencies shared in the design process and construction costs, and now they jointly operate and share the ongoing maintenance costs. This creative partnership was a win-win for everyone - the City, the school district and you!

This large facility serves as the school's auditorium, which houses school assemblies, back to school nights, and other school programs and events. This facility is very well used by the City, school district and community for active recreation purposes all year round.

    • 6 adjustable basketball hoops
    • Large center divider 
    • Small bleachers 

Want to book the Hamilton Community Gym? We recommend submitting a rental inquiry (athletic facility) first to receive availability details and suitability feedback within 4 business days before formally applying.
 
While the inquiry will NOT reserve the space, it allows us to provide helpful preliminary guidance to inform your decision on whether to proceed with a full permit application.
