City of Novato's Parks and Facilities Directory

Whether you are a first time visitor or a regular guest, we hope that you enjoy the many parks and facilities that the City of Novato's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has to offer. From Pioneer Park picnic tables and Bay Trail walkways to bocce ball courts and soccer fields, we have a wide variety of parks and facilities that are available for you to enjoy. 

Parks & Facilities Reservations:

  • Please visit the Parks & Facilities Reservations page to learn more about the many parks and facilities that are available to rent. This includes parks/picnic areas, indoor facilities, and athletic facilities.

Parks & Facilities Related Concerns:

  • The City of Novato Public Works Department maintains parks and facilities. Submit an online service request to report parks or median issues, potholes, traffic signal problems, graffiti and other non-emergency repair needs. 
  • Emergencies and safety related concerns should be directed to the Novato Police Department. If you see something, say something. For emergencies, please dial 9-1-1. For 24/7 Non-Emergency Dispatch please call 415-897-4361. Thank you for keeping our parks safe for all! 

The renovated facility was transformed in 2010 from its weathered 1930s era condition, to a state-of-the-art pool that's perfect for swim instruction, deep water exercise, and recreational use. The Hamilton Pool site is also home to an exciting water play structure with a slide and lots of water spray, great for even our youngest residents on those hot summer days.

The Hamilton Community Pool operates seasonally between Memorial Day to Labor Day. 

The Hamilton Community Pool picnic areas are available to rent Memorial Day to Labor Day. 

  • Picnic Area 1 & 2 :
    • Includes 2 picnic tables under shade structures. Larger parties may book both picnic areas for extra space (4 total tables and shade structures). Each area allows up to 25 attendees each, 50 max attendees for both spaces.
  • Picnic Area 3:
    • Includes 3 picnic tables under trees, 30 max attendees.

Want to book this picnic area? We recommend submitting a rental inquiry first to receive availability details and suitability feedback within 4 business days before formally applying.

While the inquiry will NOT reserve the space, it allows us to provide helpful preliminary guidance to inform your decision on whether to proceed with a full permit application.
