Whether you are a first time visitor or a regular guest, we hope that you enjoy the many parks and facilities that the City of Novato's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department has to offer. From Pioneer Park picnic tables and Bay Trail walkways to bocce ball courts and soccer fields, we have a wide variety of parks and facilities that are available for you to enjoy.

Parks & Facilities Related Concerns:

The City of Novato Public Works Department maintains parks and facilities. Submit an online service request to report parks or median issues, potholes, traffic signal problems, graffiti and other non-emergency repair needs.

Join us for #novatofun at Pioneer Park! Pioneer Park is one of the most popular parks in Novato featuring two newly renovated play structures, reservable picnic areas, four lighted tennis courts, a vast central area of lush grass, and a paved walkway that meanders through the grounds up to the historic cemetery on the top of a knoll where many of Novato's famous settlers are buried. The nine-acre park is located about a mile west of the downtown area and borders a creek to the north and residential areas on the other three sides.

Playground: Hours 8:00 AM - DUSK. The highly anticipated Pioneer Park Playground Project included the installation of two new play structures that feature ramps, rubber surfacing, sensory wave rockers, expressions swings, and more adaptive elements, fostering play for children of ALL abilities. Novato is proud to have two state-of-the-art accessible playgrounds, the first of its kind in Marin County. To learn more about this project please visit: www.novato.org/pioneerparkplayground

Tennis Courts: Hours 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM. In November of 2014, the City of Novato unveiled four renovated, state-of-the-art tournament tennis courts. Pioneer Park Tennis Courts are lit, fenced in and have sideline benches for people to watch the game up close. This facility is adjacent to a covered picnic area and is within close proximity to restrooms.
